Anki
apps.ankiweb.net
Spaced-repetition flashcards you shape yourself.
Anki is a flashcard program built on spaced repetition. You make your own cards or use decks shared by others.
What we think
Powerful if you like to build your own material. If you prefer ready-made content, a vocabulary app can save you that work.
This is our opinion.
What it does well
- Free on computer and Android, and very flexible.
- Spaced repetition: each card returns when you are about to forget it.
Who it suits
- You want to learn exactly the words you choose.
- You are comfortable setting things up yourself.
Where our apps fit
We build four small language apps, so we are not neutral here. These are where they could complement Anki.
