What we think

A good first step, and a good habit builder. When you need to master one precise skill, such as spelling or a set of idioms, a focused tool can go further.

This is our opinion.

What it does well

  • The courses are free, with no paywall on the learning content.
  • A Practice Hub lets you review mistakes and focus on listening or speaking.

Who it suits

  • You want to start a language with almost no cost or commitment.
  • You learn best with small daily sessions and a streak to keep.

Where our apps fit

We build four small language apps, so we are not neutral here. These are where they could complement Duolingo.
